FabLab
FabLab Spinderihallerne is a modern prototyping lab offering access to the latest digital fabrication technologies, with skilled instructors ready to help you turn ideas into (almost) anything.

A FabLab – short for FABrication LABoratory – is a creative, high‑tech prototyping workshop. Whether it’s a plastic replacement part for a vacuum cleaner, an electronics project, or a custom‑printed T‑shirt, it can be made in a FabLab. The fabrication laboratory brings together the latest production technologies, and the interaction between people, machines, and advanced software makes it possible even for beginners to work with a wide range of materials and produce work at a level of quality that is difficult to match in a traditional woodworking workshop.

Anyone can access and use the FabLab. With modern technologies and methods, an entirely new world of possibilities opens up for what you can create independently – whether for your business, education, or personal projects.

Our vision is to ensure that all employees in businesses and all citizens of Vejle Municipality – across age, gender, culture, and ethnicity – have the opportunity to experiment with the latest production technologies, thereby equipping them for the technological possibilities of the future. All children and young people who complete their education should possess the skills, confidence, and motivation to explore and experiment with the latest production technologies in order to develop innovative solutions to real‑world challenges and share those solutions with others.

But a FabLab is more than just a workshop. It is part of a global network of labs and courses, originally founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, which has evolved into a worldwide movement where ideas and innovation emerge. FabLab Spinderihallerne is certified by the Fab Foundation, and we collaborate with digital fabrication labs around the world to provide access to the latest production technologies and to help you share your ideas—turning them into strong design concepts and business opportunities.
